• Patient - Good at listening, and could easily wait as long as he needs to come to the best solution unlike his sister
• Friendly - Has always liked to talk, make people laugh and smile as well as tease and joke.
• Honest - A very open person, he speaks his mind and heart with a calm confidence. 
• Gentle - Whether it's knowing his own strength, or being around people who's hurting or troubled. Even his anger is gentle, almost never feeling a need to boil over. So, so cool~

HISTORY: 
• Makoto is Ameko's big brother and closest friend. A bit of a gentle giant, he took the path of a priest rather than a Sōhei like his sister, though just as adventurous as she is (if not more so!) Part of this may be due to an accident when they were younger that cost them their parents, leaving him alone with his then baby sister. This made him a bit rough-and-tumble for some years, though his friend Daichi helped mellow him out. He eventually found peace through misogi (prayerful meditation under waterfalls), and with it, a calling to the priesthood. Answering that call, he's happier than he's ever been.
• He originally stayed in their home village near where Crystal Lake used to be while Ameko went off to Gale Spring, but when she returned from her "reset retreat", he came along with his two friends (Daichi, of course, and a newer friend, Kohaku) to live in and maintain a small shrine near her house which she would often stand watch over even while it was unoccupied because no shrine-wreckers. There, he lives, prays, and serves with a laidback smile.

ADDITIONAL INFO: 
• Specializes in cleansing/purification.
• His shell is very heavy, and so builds his strength considerably while he wears it (in truth, between that and all that misogi strengthening his Waterfall attack, he's actually stronger than his sister is).
• As a boy he had a bit of a rivalry with a Bulbasaur. All in good fun, of course XD

Ame's back, so Makoto is, too. B-)

To recap, he's a gijinka of my beloved Blastoise, Leviathan (Levi for short). Years back, I imagined him as a cameo fisherman, but I switched him to a priest to compliment his sister. Speaking of which, I tried to make him look more priestly in his clothes, and even managed to add a little Leviathan/sea-dragon motif on his kariginu ^u^

I kinda expanded a little on his story, since I wanted him to show up more, and gave him a couple cool friends who will be making an appearance shortly =u=
